Article written for ANY level of EO9 that includes the Component Manager.
As it was the case with earlier releases of EO, there are Fonts that were created by users and were not necessarily part of the system. You can install these Fonts so your EO9 software recognizes them as Keyboard Fonts, just like the ones that were included with your system.
Of course, the first step with any User Font you wish to install is to save it to the computer where you'll be installing it. After that, follow these steps to install it into your EO9 software:
- To install User Fonts on EO9, go to Start >> All Programs >> Embroidery Office >> Component Manager.
- Once the Component Manager is open, go to Tools >> Get Components From. (see #1 on the picture below)
- From the Files of Type pull-down list, choose the DFONT extension. (see #2 on the picture below)
- Locate the Font, then select it. (see #3 on the picture below)
- Finally, click Open so the software can process it, at which point it will give you a confirmation message. (see #4 on the picture below)
- You may now close the Component Manager, and launch EO9 to find your User Font installed with the rest of your EO Fonts.
