While most computers available for sale today meet or exceed the EO9 hardware requirements, the simplified chart below was created with the intention to concentrate mainly in the 3 areas where hardware will greatly affect the performance of your EO9 software: processor, memory and video.

Note 1: during testing, NVIDIA video cards have consistently shown a better reaction to the OpenGL graphics engine than ATI cards, which makes them a more desirable choice.
Note 2: for reference purposes, INTEL processors available as of Nov 1st, 2009, are: - Intel® Core™ i7 processor Extreme Edition - Intel® Core™ i7 processor - Intel® Core™ i5 processor - Intel® Core™2 Extreme processor - Intel® Core™2 Quad processor - Intel® Core™2 Duo processor - Intel® Pentium® processor - Intel® Celeron® processor
Note 3: or equivalent in Duo technology (Intel 7300 Series).
Note 4: or equivalent in Duo technology (Intel 8500 Series).
Note 5: for optimal video performance, set your graphic acceleration in EO9 to the highest your video card can handle.
Note 6: minimum screen resolution should be 1280 x 1024 pixels (4:3) or 1280 x 720 (16:9), set in True color mode (32 bits).
Note 7: Embroidery Office makes use of advanced video hardware features, such as Open GL and DirectX acceleration, allowing for a more natural, comfortable and appealing display of designs (transparency mode, antialias, etc), so all video cards should be compatible with Open GL and DirectX - and most cards are, unless they're a few years old.
